Sam Marsh is primarily concerned with painting. In 2007 Marsh started creating artwork under the umbrella ‘We All Want The Swamp!’ and this has continued into a number of related bodies of work.

The artwork often evokes a humourous responce at first but then takes on a deeper level of sophistication that deals with issues within painting such as how paintings are made, exploring character and the visual impact that collage brings to an image.

'We All Want The Swamp!' - Marsh's reaction to the painting process, his imagination and mass culture. This is the primary body of artwork.

'Paperworks' - Drawings and collage often created in series on A4. Descovery made during the drawing process plays a vital part to inform the painting process.

'Collaboration'
- Painting and drawing in collaboration with Alexander Blake.

'Computer Compositions' -  An exploration into image making, using photo edditing programs such as Paint and Photoshop. Visual problem solving explored here directly informs the paintings process, in particular the collage elements.

'Book'
- 'We All Want The Swamp!' A collection of drawings, collages and computer compositions that have been worked together to form a book.

'Bird top, Dogs Bottom'- A body of drawings and paintings that introduce landscape and a sense of ground and sky, the bird representing the sky and the dog the ground.

‘Tiki Tiki’ - draws inspiration from exotica music and ideas surrounding paradise.

'Street Work' - Artwork printed black and white on large Dayglow paper, pasted up around cultural cities of the world.
